Once ProjectWise Explorer has been installed on your workstation it will integrate with your version of office with the desire to allow users to save documents directly into ProjectWise or open them.  If you do need that function on frequently you can toggle the integration on and off at your discretion.

Open either Word or Excel and look at the top of the menu list for the word ProjectWise.

Click the ProjectWise menu item and you will see a Disable Integration button.

Simply click this button so that it says Enable Integration. This toggles ProjectWise integration off for both Word and Excel.

You can always hit this button again to re-enable your integration if you need to save documents or you can open files directly from inside the ProjectWise Explorer window.
