The access and security of project documents placed in ProjectWise is controlled with ProjectWise security settings. Permissions to access folders and documents in ProjectWise are set when the project is created. Permissions to folders are granted to the Specialty Groups to which the project is assigned.
Note: Security is set to Read Only in the Archive Datasource.
Each project has the following security conventions when a project is created in the datasource
- All ODOT Employees have read access to all projects.
- Project Managers / Engineering Managers have additional access to Specialty Group folders.
- Specialty Group folders are assigned security settings pertaining to the access needed for that group.
- Specialty Groups include individuals who are members of a specific work group (Bridge, Construction, Roadway, etc.)
- Individuals in their specific Specialty Group will have read/write access to their groups sub folders under the Project.
