The Project/Folder Security tab displays the permission settings for the selected folder.  most folders in ProjectWise will have at least 4 groups assigned:

  • Administrator – This group is comprised of the ProjectWise Administrators who are responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the ProjectWise environment.
  • Specialty Group Admin – This Group is made up of Local ODOT staff that has limited administrative privileges to help manage projects within their specialty group.
  • Specialty Group Users –  This group is made up of the users for that Specialty Group.  These uses typically have read/write privileges.
  • ODOT Read Only – This group is made up of all ODOT personnel with ProjectWise Access. In general, everyone in this group is granted read-only permissions to project data.

In addition to these four main groups, any group that is working on the project will be assigned to the appropriate sub-folders of the project and granted additional permissions (such as service providers).
