SUBJECT:The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A) is proposing to improve US-283 south of Altus in Jackson County, Oklahoma. The proposed improvements include the replacement of one bridge box with a sp'an bridge, extending 3 bridge boxes and adding shoulders to the roadway to improve safety. The proposed improvements consist of two separate projects, the South begins 0.5 mile north of the Red River Bridge and extends north to the SH-5 Junction. The North project begins at SH-5 Junction, extending north 6.1 miles. |
