
Figure 4E-1. Typical Pedestrian Signal Indications
This figure illustrates two examples of typical pedestrian signal
indications as they would appear to persons facing the indications.
The first example, One Section (Solid Symbol), shows a solid orange
upraised hand symbol and a solid white walking person symbol. Both
symbol indications are contained within a single signal section
rectangular-shaped housing, with the upraised hand on the left side
and the walking person on the right.
The second example, Two Section, shows a two-section signal face,
with each of the two sections being rectangular in shape and the
two sections vertically aligned. The solid orange symbol of an upraised
hand is shown in the top section and the solid white symbol of a
walking person is shown in the bottom section.
