Public Information Meeting

SUBJECT:

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A) is proposing to improve SH-53 West of Ardmore in Carter County, OK. The proposed improvements include the reconstruction of SH-53 beginning 5.5 miles East of SH-76 (Fox Junction) continuing for approx. 9.37 miles with added 8’ paved shoulders & the reconstruction of 8 bridges. The proposed improvements consist of two separate projects; the West project (Caddo Creek Bridge) begins 5.5 miles East of SH-76 & extends East for 1.37 miles, the East project begins 6.87 miles East of SH-76, extending East for 8.0 miles.
