CHEROKEE STRIP TRANSIT



Profile

Cherokee Strip Transit (CST), which began operations in 1995, is a demand response transportation system that is open to the public. The service area for Cherokee Strip Transit includes the towns of Garber, Covington, Billings, Fairmont, Breckenridge, Perry, Waukomis, Tonkawa, Ponca City, Blackwell, Kingfisher, Watonga, and Hunter. Incidental trips to other nearby communities are also provided as needed as well as trips to Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Cherokee Strip Transit’s main office is located in Garber, but does have satellite offices in Tonkawa, Perry, Kingfisher, and Watonga. These offices service those towns and surrounding areas. Scheduling and dispatching for all offices are coordinated through the Garber CST office.
